So the latest patch said crossplay desync that happens when the play becomes 4 on 4 was fixed but that was a lie as it still happens.
I just literally had a champs match where my opponent took penalty on purpose to make it 4 on 4 and when the next period started the game desynced and disconnected.
Please, why did EA say they fixed it when clearly that was not the case?

That's good. Champs are gonna be total mess as people will exploit this when they can so i really hope they can address this as emergency update. Until then crossplay will be unplayable.

Im not using cross play currently. It happens if the play becomes 4 on 4 the previous period and on the next period start the game desyncs. HJre is 30s video i got from but it doesn't include the penalties because those happened earlier NHL 25 Xbox Series X_S-2024_10_17-14_00_45.mp4
So what ever the patch did made the desync happen on the next period start instead of the next faceoff.
Also I just realized that when I had 4 on 4 on the last period of my previous match the desync happened on my next match right on the first face off. I think what ever is causing it carries into the next match if the 4 on 4 happens on the last period of the match. This I'm not completely sure but makes sense to me
I am not playing Rivals until it is fixed because it is pointless. 3 out of 5 games I played I was winning deep into the game, the other team takes a penalty and then "syncing" nonsense happens and then get the "Lost connection to the other player" message and don't get a win or a loss. Wasn't the start of the period (even though I experience that as well). Just a complete waste of time. Obviously some people know how to trigger it and it is the sore losers. I took a video of my most recent one, will crop it down and drop it in here when I get a chance.
Yeah worth looking into, I heard it's happening on PS5 also. It does seem like there is a way to trigger it.
Here is the desync happening just last match. What happen is my opponent shot the puck after offside and i initiated a fight but he didnt accept so the game became 4on4 and then it desynced at the start of the second period. Here is recording of it but it didnt capture the penalties.

EA_AljoHere is yet another case. This time was cross play off and the desync happen after i took time out. I will keep sending these as long as this remains unfixed.

It's been over 2 weeks. You released patch again but no fix. Cross play stays unplayable for over month after launch. This is actually insane as I was promised cross play function with the game but when I use it the game just breaks. Hell, Xbox has barely players in this region so I'm getting no opponent found peak times but when I enable cross play there is change I just waste my time as it desyncs if common hockey play happens 💀

It was not fixed! I just wasted like 25min in champs match that i was about to win in last minute then the game desynced AGAIN!
This is so frustrating as now i don't have the win that i literally sweat for 25 minutes against a good player. Video below. Can i get the win restored?
