Need to relook goaltending in this game. I put the effort in to get the 87 Shesterkin and he is a sieve. So many short side goals are being given up on top of bad decision making and goals going in after getting big pieces. Terrible to have a special card be so lackluster, especially compared to lower rated goalies performing better on what should be routine shots. This is exactly why I say we need a 2nd community manager that plays HUT. You wouldn't even question the OP clip like you did if you had maybe 3 hours of experience on HUT. Why do you think 6ft7 silver goalies outplay an 87 6ft1 goalie? It's literally been a thing for at least 6 years on HUT and you are going to question his defense when he brings up a known issue in the HUT community???

If the defense covers the short side it leaves a one timer open instead, which is the easiest way to score in this game. And regardless of having a step, that’s a basic save for a goalie of any level. That’s not a reasonable response. I’ll start downloading clips for you because goalie gave up three goals that were infuriating. Defense can’t block every shot.

You can't use a short goalie in NHL. It has to be 6ft5 and up. Every HUT you can use some 6ft8 silver goalie till the end of the year. It's pathetic and it's never been addressed. That's why it's frustrating to hear our community manager reply back to a well known community issue like its somehow the result of ur poor defense. The minute an opponent sees you have a short goalie you are getting spammed with short side shots.Considering the defense is dead in the game this year the only way we can defend is sit back and wait for them to stop spinning in circles and shoot because if you bring your guy out to take the body from the puck it's an easy tap in most of the time.

And I don’t want to be told it’s because of my defense or pressure system because when I have full pressure I rarely if ever get these sort of bad goals. So bad I need to find another goalie, which is insane given what’s required to get this card

All this game is Spinning in circles waiting for the green bullseye to light up for these so called skil based one timers that take zero absolutely zero skill to take ,and as for the goalies they are horrible, and mind you they guy who developed this game supposably plays goalie

I'm not saying goalies shouldn't be better. I'd love to see smaller goalies be more usable. I'm also not saying they should stop everything and always bail out bad defense though. A pro team with bad defense is probably going to see a lot of goals go in even with the best in net. That's the job of defense. To stop the puck from reaching their net. Better defense is going to mean less goals scored against you. I wasn't saying goalies are fine and there are no issues.

I played HUT for several years. I spent a huge amount of time on it. However, I'm sitting out this year and focusing more on WoC. I'm very well aware of needing to use bigger goalies. That's nothing new. I was always aware of the "glitch" goals. They just didn't get to me because I was good at stopping them. If I got scored on by them, that's on me since I didn't defend it. So, I never saw those goals go in consistently because I wasn't giving them the opportunity to do so.
