I figured as much. I will say some users don't have the funds for online play or are young users and therefore don't have permission. I'm 42 and have been playing the NHL franchise since its debut. Offline play was the only play then. This game is what sparked my life-long love for the sport. If these lower priority modes are updated, it could be considered an investment in the future of the franchise. In 94 I was 12...I'm still playing 30 years later. In addition, I've attended NHL, AHL, NCAA, high school, and even international games (I saw Cole Caufield and K'Andre Miller play against MSU when at Wisconsin, Luke Hughes at U of M, and Will Smith at USNDP...I love hockey thanks to EA), and I now even play beer leagues. I encourage EA to think of the investment and even pitch it to the NHL and your partners. I'm 100% sure they'd be on board.
