NHL 25 Feedback

After a couple of hours gameplay I got to say I'm very impressed.

Game feels slower and more authentic. I know it will get faster as the better cards are released but it definitely doesn't  feel like every play is going to be a rush.

Vast improvement in AI defence.

Hitting is better but still a little bit OP.

Goalies are solid. Playing on Superstar is definitely harder than last year, which I prefer tbh.

Overall it just feels more rewarding , looks and plays more like the real game.

Well done devs 👏

Add a way to tell reporters you do not want to speak with them for the next game.

I think that players should still be able to play though a full season before the memorial cup just like they could in NHL 14.

After making your first BE A PRO the player SHOULD BE ABLE TO SKIP THE CUTSCENE when they make a second one.

This game is absolutely trash!!!!!’ If you aren’t spending money then your team will **bleep** so bad no matter if you have the best players on the game

Team performance is more affected by player ratings, strategies, and skill level rather than purchase history.

    Absolutely not true.

When all the computers on your team just stand there while their computers does everything like hit, poke check, steal etc

Ai behaviour is dictated by human actions. If you find your computer players are often just 'standing' there, chances are they may be covering a position they don't normally play due to the human pulling players out of their spots in order to blindly chase the puck carrier.

there are more glitch goals than there is anything else.

There are high % areas of the ice where shots have a higher probability of scoring due to decreased goalie reaction time, player/goalie attributes, etc.

There are no 'glitch' goals in the sense that there isn't a maneuver you can execute that is outside the realities of the sport, that will get you a guaranteed goal every single time.

If you find you're seeing the same goals scored on you fairly often, this indicates a lapse in defending that you need to shore up in order to be competitive.

    ouch.

  • IMO, it's too little improvement to justify the buy.

    • The game feels like it's all about hitting this year, but trying to hit a player is still off and you miss quite a lot.
    • EA mentioned presentation update, however, come gametime, there was a "Welcome to Chicago" by that annoying announcer, then right to the face-off.  No stat discussion, no viewing the goalies, no warmups.  Basically, we have no presentation again this year.
    • Offense again, can skate right into your zone untouched by defense.
    • Graphically it looks the same as last year.
    • Weak goals are happening far too often.

Feels like we're going to have the exact same discussions as last year about the issues with this game and EA's lack of listening to the community.  Right now, this game just feels more like a band-aid to last year.
