Dates of upcoming deep dives (specifically franchise) please.
Please please please tell me they removed the goal celly junk... For the first time ever, I didn't buy an NHL game (NHL 24) because of it.. I felt like I was playing NHL Hitz... I don't understand how decisions would be made to take it further from a Sim instead of a deep dive directly into Sim. Here's hoping.. If Celly junk is gone, I'll be back baby!
Their isn't a date yet, just look on all socials for Updates.
I hear you! The goal celebration features have been a hot topic among fans. While I can’t confirm any specific changes just yet, the feedback from the community is definitely being heard. If the goal celly changes were a dealbreaker for you in NHL 24, I hope you'll find NHL 25 more aligned with what you're looking for. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to release!
NoSleeves has a video going a bit more into detail on some things. The biggest detail of them all....No PS4 or Xbox One versions.
Dude you need to stop acting like a mod. People are gonna start to look to you for info you can't provide. You're a fan and are speculating like the rest of us. It's beyond obnoxious to see you posing in each and every thread. Calm down.
Maybe I am thinking of something different but couldn't you pivot/skate in NHL 23, but was removed in NHL 24? I know it did not work correctly and I believe it was used negatively but this isn't new correct?
You could turn your back to the play with LT-ing which was heavily frowned upon and considered a cheap tactic. This new method I believe will be a game changer when it comes to making the defense look silly at times.
Watch Makar in this video and you will see what it's more or like going to be like with the 1 skate pointing one way and the other another way while keeping more of a focus towards the net.
Yes, I remember which is why I knew it wasn't good for the game at the time. The "revamped" method I'm hoping it is better but from the trailer it doesn't look a whole lot different (also, does not show if the original issue has been corrected either). Maybe it would be better to see how it works in actual gameplay when the deep dive releases and not a pre-designed cutscene/trailer.
I guess that is where I'm confused when its comes to the "new" part as this was a previously existing feature.
The original issue with LT-ing was that you could turn your back to the play and still keep speed and make great movement. This new method will definitely help movement wise and staying square to the play. It even looks like the AI will take advantage of the movement. It's definitely going to be one of those things you will have to play to get a feel for imo.
