Community ManagerWe would love to be able to accomplish everything everyone is asking for with every year. Unfortunately, that's not really possible with having an annual release. While there are additions and improvements every year that were requested by the community, we normally prioritize specific features with each release. For example, online modes were a bigger focus for 24 while we said offline modes would get attention later. We are listening and acting on community feedback. It just takes time.
A lot of the frustration I think right now is just the lack of updates to what is coming. Last year the new producers sat down and talked about more transparency. Shortly after 24 released it seemed like they were keeping their word and then silence.
This year they talked about a gameplay deep dive and came out with a 5 minute clip. They talked about a presentation deep dive. So far all I have seen is some screenshots and 15 second clips that dont even have sound. It’s just… embarrassing. I get that a lot of this likely has to do with the EA suits allocating money, but it really feels like theyre just trying to kill the game. I mean how are we 11 days away from release and still waiting on “deep dives” from 2 major modes?
The sit down interview they did last year was nice and seemed like they were changing things. Unfortunately it really seems like thats not coming. Just disappointing and makes spending the money on the new game feel wrong.

We're definitely not trying to kill the game. Significant work has gone in to NHL 25 and I'm looking forward to you all playing it. We'll have more revealed before launch
Okay point taken but it's literally 9 days till those of us who's pre ordered the deluxe edition can play and going by previous years we got 20 min deepdive videos or more in depth trailers and information even got a trial, playtest or beta (as people refer to it differently) and it's always been 3 days early access etc,it just seems that ea are trying their hardest by offering such a great pre order deal with minimal information about the game to get as much money before its released because they know that it's not up to standards,hell they even fixed stuff before release last year after the playtest feedback. i hope im wrong I know that there's only a small team for NHL and it's not gonna be completely different in a year but something is definitely fishy IMO🏒🥅
You're not trying to but you ARE doing it. Not building hype and incorrectly marketing your game will result in less sales.
Putting microtransactions above innovation will result in fewer sales. Mark my words. We've seen it time and time again. Live service games DO die these days.
To be fair the HUT stuff usually always comes 2-3 days before the early access starts. Kind of one of those things to prime people up for it to hop right into the mode.
How is that "to be fair?" No one even mentioned HUT.
