Just as the title says, I've played two games and both games the synching screen happens at faceoff and as soon as the screen goes away the faceoff is already over and we lost it.

Keeps happening to me all the time.. I'm giving up playing till they can fix the matchmaking... like they can update ncca everyday but God forbid they show nhl any love... I would have had my team back in working on it asap fixing that even if it kicked people off the server for a half hour.. it's mind blowing
Please call your team get them coffee brewed or red bulls stocked in the fridge and their butt's cozy in there work chairs then get coding. fix the match making issue please like you're not building rocketship. did someone forget to copy and paste that part in...
It’s such a bummer being hockey fans when there isn’t any new playable NHL sports games on the market. Franchise hockey manager is neat, and Hockey Legacy Manager is great as well, and the franchise AI, trading, drafting, development etc BLOWS EA’s out of the water, but there is no on ice gameplay which is the only bad thing about those games.
EA’s NHL’s franchise AI, trading, drafting, development, laggy menus, locked features, broken features etc may all be bad, but they do have on ice gameplay (even if the AI is still terrible again this year lol)
Such a huge, albeit common, letdown by EA. I still believe that separating the modes into their own games is the way to go. Put HUT/EASHL into their own little microtransaction live-service program.
Then bundle BAP/FM/Seasons etc into its own game. It can’t get any worse.. right?

It happens to me at least once a game too. It's easily reproducible if you skip post-goal replays quickly.
From my limited perspective, it seems that the game is trying to use that replay time to ensure both players are synched with each other, and for some reason, this year, not letting the replay play long enough doesn't allow the game to synch up quickly enough.
A bandaid fix for my fellow players would be to let post-goal replays fully play out so the networking code can catch up.
Again, this seems to be a servers-side issue... not a client-side issue.

Except it's NOT a new gen. I played NHL on PS5 last year and this didn't happen...
I have the same problem. Thats not a modem problem. Once faceoff was on replay. Couldnt stop it anymore. Had to turn off the game. Synching sucks. Experienced the same over and over.
I meant it as the game is ONLY for new gen, and they didn’t have to spend time and resources to make sure it worked for both.
that should’ve made things less complicated for them resulting in a better product (but in typical EA fashion, it’s the same half baked ideas and product)
