took 30 mins today to get a game and by the time it started 3 other players left leaving it a 2 on 4 .. A 6'S LOBBY!!!!!
Broken record, broken game, broken studio
It stems from the same old problem. Had any developer been actively involved in playing this game for hours online in this particular case they would have seen this immediately. The problem is us users pick things up in 1 hour. They simply don't spend enough time playing the game themselves, which explains MOST of the plethora of issues that mar this release. This would be like me building a car and selling it to millions, and deciding to remove the cruise control or blinker in year 5, because I never drive it and don't know better.
In other words, they are not INTO their own games. It's in the game, but they're not.
Community ManagerMany of us spend a lot of time playing. It's one thing to recognize the issue. It's another to make it work perfectly. We are extremely well aware of the feedback on matchmaking so hopefully, we'll see changes in the future.
If it makes you feel any better, they don’t address popular/common feedback in HUT either
Just put in place what you’ve done for years. We have a team of three people, I don’t want to constantly match up against four or five. You copy and pasted the rest of this game, put in the old matchmaking system.

"It is important to note that while the filters have been removed, NHL 25 still considers all aspects of the team construct when players are looking for a match. We are aware that some of our players are experiencing matchmaking issues, and we continue to look at how we can tune the system to improve the overall experience."
