Weak hip checks

I'll start by saying there's a lot about this game that I like. There's been a lot of changes, some minor, some major and a lot of them I do like, but that's a topic for another discussion.

One thing that's taken away from the game, for me, is how the hip checks have been dialed down. I understand why. They were a bit overpowered, but I found that fun.

It was comical with how you could easily overtake someone while bent over flying butt first at them, so it's no surprise they've been dialed down, but now you lose all momentum when turning around,  no matter how fast you were going before. 

Seems like the exact opposite of what they were last year. I feel there could be a better balance struck than what it is currently.
