Why dont you like real hitting ?

I have seen tens of thousand of good Big hits in the games before Nhl 24 came out . I dont think I have seen even one good big hit in Nhl 24 and Nhl 25 because of the new hitting system and the new hitting animation which looks soo wrong . So why do you want the game to be like this ? ITS A HOCKEY GAME Hitting should be like it was before

    In 24, hitting was absolutely broken so I don't know where you are getting these numbers from. In 25, I can agree that their isn't as much hitting but hitting is supposed to be a risk vs reward type thing. If you go for a hit you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position of being juked out on. If you do not line it up properly, than you are burned. We are playing an NHLs game equivalent of 1 period so hitting shouldn't be in the 100 hits per game category.  The NHL averages roughly 60 hits per game so by that standard, a full 5 min period type game should have around 20 hits total. Hitting is fun but making it too easy can ruin the overall gameplay experience.

      Hitting is probably something that's hard to get right, imo.

      In the game, guys can just squirm around hits with relative ease. In real life, hits are still risky, but guys, by and large, aren't just dodging hits. The average hit in real hockey also isn't as huge and devastating as this game.

      You want there to be a good amount of hitting, but you also don't want players to just shutdown plays with ease just by nudging a guy. That's a difficult thing to balance. My only thought would be to make it easier to land hits, but make hits a lot less devastating. Like, most hits thrown in real hockey do land, but they're not these Trouba-style hospitalization hits.

    I find that the new hitting is risky but feels good when you do make the hit.

    I tend to get big hits when I line it up properly. Mind you I play offline so that is a difference for sure. I do agree that some of the hit animations are still off or odd looking but it was in 24 as well, I didn't think any of that would change as it was not focused on, so its not any worse at all.  

    For my games myself and the AI are usually fairly even or close when to comes to the amount of hits. A game I played yesterday the hits were 37 (AI) to 35 (myself), which seems fairly realistic to how it would be in a real game.

      I think for me the animation is the worst part about hitting in the game. I’ve never in my life seen a hit where a player goes almost down on one knee and leans forward into a hit with their head and shoulder. It just doesn’t look natural or real and when the guy receiving the hit spins around with one leg contorted one way half doing the splits, it again just doesn’t look real.
