Is it just me or would sitting at your stall with your squad while matchmaking not be an easy update and add such more realism to the game.

You can also do free skating. Ideally, make a training session, team tests, Trainer mode with chips and arrows. mannequins, tires. But no, we sit and look at the list of names for half an hour. You can't even make layouts at this time.
I've asked for this in the past - would add a ton of realism and give you something else nice to look at
