Polls for the grudge match
Im curious to know who likes or don’t likes the grudge match? Im a EASHL player and personally i doesn’t like it because it give a big advantage to a only 1 player and that takes away the realistic side.

Waste of time and resources on something that no one asked for. H2H stats is all they needed, not the dumb intros or ability boosts.
Same, just give us stats, tons of advanced stats please, rivalry will emerge organically.
Grudge matches are terrible, was nice for that little bit when we could turn them off but of course that was taken away as like everything else with match making :)
Nobody likes this Grudge and nobody wanted or wished this in the game.
Its absurd why EA using their low resources to this kind of things. Im pretty sure that most people would wish that EA would fix the game instead. Dont add new things to game because even old things are not working. When game is fully working and there is nothing to fix then you can add new things to game.
edit: and yes there is option that Grudge can be turned off but or course this is not working. Its working very randomly (suprise).
I like them for a simple reason. They provide some variety to the gameplay. Maybe I just play too much but it's fun to shutdown their player with the scoring boost or to offensively gameplan around a defensive boost player. It's like a difficulty modifier that can be a fun challenge. Positive vibes today!
Speaking as a Franchise mode player, the grudge matches don't make sense there either. I'm playing as Chicago. Chicago, Colorado, and Dallas have finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in our division (in different orders) for 4 years straight, and we've all played each other multiple times in the playoffs during that time. Yet I never get grudge matches against either of them. I do get grudge matches against San Jose (who are not in my division and has been at the bottom of the league almost every year) and Vancouver (again not in my division and we've haven't met them in the playoffs in the mode as yet).
I don't have any personal experience with it to know how much of a difference these boosts can make but it doesn't seem like most people like it.
I suggested a grudge styled presentation a few years back so it was nice to see it happen but I don't think adding more boosts was the way to go -- My team has never once been relegated down so to give us more buffs would get boring quick
