No pass icons

This issue is still not fixed obviously no investigation is done if something so simple is still broken 

This is pretty normal. We typically don't issue immediate updates as bugs need to be investigated, fixed, tested and submitted for certification from Microsoft/Sony. It's not a quick process. We are working to get this resolved as soon as we can. This is not a feature that has been intentionally removed.

it looks very suspicious that it takes so long to fix the problem. a lot of players will not play the game because the newest control feature was removed. all players want to know at least some time frame.

When we have news on a fix, we'll make an announcement.

EA_Aljosomehow it's been taking you a long time to solve the problem with the icon passing buttons above the players, the second weekend will start soon. it's time to think of what you'll please the players with during such a long downtime...

EA_AljoSo, it seems that this problem is due to copying and pasting old code, creating spaghetti code. NHL24 boards and Discover adds showing up shows that code is often copied and reused from previous versions. As someone who has administered servers for large companies, the quickest resolution is usually to roll back the patch and find the errors in the update, then test and reapply. Has this been considered by the team?

Also, seeing that this is self inflicted, what is going to be done to reward players for sticking with a game that broke a method of passing that is used by many players across multiple modes? Maybe we could get something while being patient?

From Sleeveless’ YouTube video, it sounds like he’s heard more from your team and that icon passing is going to take a while to fix. If that’s the case the community is going to want to hear more than it’s broken and we’re working on it. This seems to be the hottest topic across the NHL25 forum pages and social media.

There is no tweet at the moment because there is no update to give. When we have some news, we'll make an announcement. The icon passing issue is being investigated.

Getting mad at the community now from when you guys can't fix a simple icon passing glitch for the last 5 days...that's a great look. Remember when you guys put out that first videos and NHL 24 about how there was going to be constant communication I could see that lasted all about a few months. You guys can't even put a simple tweet out to update us on what's going on with the icon passing. That's all it would take for us to stop bombarding you with questions. You need to wipe this game completely revert back to the NHL 23 controllers and maybe we can have enough people come back to the game so we don't have to search 5 to 10 minutes every single time we want to play WOC.

We did take ownership of this. I've been saying that for several days. Not to mention, we also put out a Tweet about icon passing. Regardless, we can't just copy and paste old code due to the changes between 24 and 25. We're working to get this resolved as soon as possible. In the meantime, you should check your online pass assist to make sure it's at 100%.
