I go to poke check and he throws me over the boards behind him while moving forward…
He lost almost no forward momentum and there wasn’t even an animation of him throwing me over the boards. When a regular body check happens there’s basically a dead stop and an animation allowing some time to recover.
Just makes no sense. You poke check while skating and then you’re basically in quick sand but if I spam A when you’re defender comes near I can lose next to no momentum and rag doll you. But in real hockey you putting your stick out to defend the puck it a normal occurrence with out losing speed but if two bodies collide. Theres pretty much always a dead stop.
