HUT Moments

yeah, they're just words on the screen, they don't mean anything.  Moments have been programmed, terrbibly, since inception.  They want it to be challenging, which I can support.  But they create this horrible, sloppy, mess, of a mode that is just rage inducing.  They claim they want all modes to the be the same across the board, but it's not true.  I'm sure hockey moments are difficult to program, to have fun, but it's so clear fun isn't their goal when putting these modes out.  Shouldn't fun be the #1 priority of all these gaming companies?   It's almost diabolical at this point.  They clearly know that we like to try and get the lead, then the cpu pulls the goalie, and you're able to finish objectives in to an empty net.  Makes it helpful, a little less awful.  Nope!  EA doesn't like that and now start you down by 3 goals and you need 3 to complete it.  I swear this game is  80% programmed to stop what the community is doing and 20% by some out of touch managers who need to support other EA companies, like mo-cap stuff.  Anyways i'm really digressing lol.  BE BETTER EA please, we beg you

I think the best thing to say about Moments is that they are mislabeled and should be noted as Extreme Moments or something to that effect. 

The AI is the Versus lineup most of the time and not HUT cards. This should be noted as well since you're playing a team with all their abilities active and don't appear to lose endurance. To add to the difficulty you're forced to use sub-80 HUT cards with a possible MSP tossed in that only have the Endurance for 1 rush up the ice. 

The top HUT Creator has said that EA confirms that all AI Goalies in all offline modes are on All-Star regardless if playing on Rookie, Semi-Pro, Pro or even Superstar. This could be a big reason you hear many players say Superstar is a tad easier than even Pro.

That alone should be enough for people to not buy this **bleep**. Programmed to be a certain difficulty regardless of the one you chose? Nah bro, that's some straight scumbag **bleep**, I hope ea dies out soon because that's what needs to happen for better hockey games.

well, "they" want it to be a "challenge".  It's not fun and leads us to think they have zero idea what they're doing when it comes to programming this game.  That still remains, but what i want is for them to consider "fun" when coming up with ways to keep us occupied.  

If you have played this game for the past several years, you will notice how the franchise has either deleted or reduced incentives. Whether it be the daily reward, this new insane XP format, to the now super price on card packs with this new insane idea of acct bound. Making the card useless if you don't use it. Their idea is to funnel gamers down the narrow path to choose purchasing of packs to attain (hopefully. And I use that term loosely here) better player cards. And as we all know. The cost of these packs, would make a loan sharks repay back % look cheap. There is no competition to this franchise. And since that has been the case for years now. The game has gotten worse. They are not concerned about the entertainment element anymore. Its all dollars and cents to them. Problems never fixed. Suggestions never listened too, etc etc. And the moments element of the game. Is both irrational, and senseless with the objectives they institute. Not worth the effort.

I didn’t know the AI goalie was consistently playing at all star level but tbh I’m glad they at least have some form of consistency.  Confirmation on this would be great so that I’d know to always play against all star plus when offline for scoring practice on HUT.

The rating on cards is nothing but deceptive. An 84 rated card should not have the ability to exceed its rating. But. EA increases every card that is utilized by the AI to levels above and beyond. With each level. Rookie. Semi pro. Pro. Allstar. Superstar. That 84 rated card plays at a much higher rating than the card describes. What EA should have done was. With each level. A players personal team rating would be recognised an placed in the level appropriate with their rating. A lower rated team could play in a higher level. But higher levels could not drop back to lower levels. This would also allow for the removal of the rookie. Semi pro. Pro. Etc levels to be eliminated. It also gives the non skilled players a chance to be more competitive as they slowly build their team. Doing it this way, would create more competitive players, whereby trying to find opponents online would be more plentiful. After all. Is this not the original concept of this game. Fun and improvement. EA uses rates in this game as a manipulation to try to get players to fork out cash for their ridiculous overpriced packs. Pure scam. It should also be noted that. The AI cannot distinguish player identities. It only recognizes the algorithms that have been established for pre set ratings. So. Thinking your 90 McDavid card will play better than a similar 90 Donald Trump. Would be a mistake in judgement.
