HUT Team Best Stats

Why is it not possible to keep the statistics per player in the Team Best overview and every time there is a different version of the player everything starts again at 0. That doesn't make sense, can't you take the player's statistics over? It will remain the same player, otherwise the whole overview would make no sense...
