Need help

Hey,

I'm Sven and from Belgium.

is here any kind soul wanting me to help improve my skills beacuse i'm struggling with the game.

For example, you need to perform 2 toe drag deke shots with any pre-season player but i can't do it.

I've looked at the settings (play with hybrid controls) how to do it,but still i'm not able to do it.

Also i need some help for completing some hut moments.

So if anybody want to co-op with me to complete them, you're very welcome.

Having Parkinson disease isn't really helping to play this game ,it's kind difficult to perform dekes in general because i'm not able to push the L1, L2 , R1 & R2 buttons like it should.

PM/DM me if interested (preferable Europeans due to timezone issues), so you can add me on PSN.

Thanks.

I didn't specify backhand toe-drag shots because I didn't know they were required. All they mentioned were toe-drags and I'm not playing HUT in 25 so I wasn't trying to finish this objective.

I know this happened previously with backhand toe-drag shots. We obviously need to label them correctly. I relayed the feedback on it then and will again now. Thank you.

Yes, it has to be backhand. You say that you switch to Total Control and press a button to do the move. That means you are doing the move that is labeled as "backhand toe drag shot" in the controller settings.

I don't have a problem with doing backhand toe drag shots. I have completed the objective. I just wanted to point out the fact that the objective is misleading as it doesn't say "backhand".

  • I usually play with the Skill Stick controls but whenever they ask for this I have to switch to Total Control and press the button that is associated to the move.  Doesn't have to be backhand either.  Just do a game on rookie offline and it's done within the 1st period easy.

Maybe i'm simply trying to do the wrong deke.

It sounds like this is the case. But it's not your fault. It's EA's fault, because the objective is misleading. Even though the objective doesn't say the word "backhand", you need to do backhand toe drag shots. With Hybrid controls you only need to use the right stick to do a backhand toe drag shot. You press the right stick (R3), and while holding it down, you move it backward and then forward. And with Total Control you press and hold the Square button as EA_Aljo said.

EA_Aljo Why does the objective not specify that we need to do backhand toe drag shots? And why didn't you specify it in your comment either? If you look at the controller settings, you can see that a toe drag and a backhand toe drag are two different things. And the objective only says toe drag shots even though you are asking us to do backhand toe drag shots. You gave instructions for the correct deke, so in that sense your answer was good and I hope it helps OP with the objective, but you didn't mention that the correct deke is actually a backhand toe drag. But anyway, if you want us to do backhand toe drag shots, then you should say backhand toe drag shots and not just toe drag shots, because they are two different things. I think I have mentioned this before, but apparently it hasn't been changed. Can you forward the feedback to the team?

  • Hey no,i haven't
will take a look into it, thanks for reply and tip.

Hi there. Have you tried using the Total Control layout? Toe Drag is X/Square button. That might be easier than the Skill Stick controls.

  • Hey,

    thanks for reply,

tried to do it over & over again, but still it doesn't work.

Also spend  some time in practice mode to do it but even there i can't seem to do it.

Sometimes i tink i've managed it but it doesn't count for any reason.

Maybe i'm simply trying to do the wrong deke.

The reply on this thread may come from everywhere & anytime but i'm meaning if someone is willing to have a party chat (on PSN) with me so he/she can guide (while i'm sharing my screen) me a little bit and see what i'm doing wrong.

It has not to be in hut, it can be done in practice mode.

So i can get used to the trick.

    Regards.

  • If your using skill stick. With the right hand control stick. From a 3 o'clock position, holding it out to the right. Circle  it downwards like in an arc toward the 9 o'clock position. This will have the player draw the puck back closer to his right side. When ready to execute the shot, then pull the right hand trigger.  Same applies to the opposite side. From a 9 o'clock position, rotating downward towards the 3 o'clock position. Takes a bit of practice, but you will eventually get the hang of it. Sorry the reply is not coming from Europe. I understand the time differential can be an obstacle.
