The X Marks The Spot achievement isn't unlocking

I've been doing this achievement every year for years now: add an X-Factor player item to your lineup. I add the card to my lineup and the achievement doesn't pop. I've tried removing it and re-adding it as well as subbing it in. Still no achievement. 

I'm playing on Xbox Series X with all the current updates. 

Have the criteria changed this year or is the achievement broken?  Please advise me what to do, thank you.
