If there is no way to get rid of it as it’s been an issue for years now why don’t you guys just lean into it and give a description how to do it like any other control to at least equal the playing field without forcing us to do all of our research on YouTube and Reddit?

Community ManagerTo add on to what Kaner1138 said, you can turn off backskating in the controller settings menu. This is probably the first thing I do when I get the new game each year.
You can turn off auto backwards skating in the main menu before you click on any particular game mode like BAP for example.
