Pressure System Affecting Goalies Too Much
Last night me and my buddies played club and our goalie was having frustration with an issue that has become common. We matched against some former junior hockey players who are from my hometown and got smoked. We tried to help our goalie out but he kept losing energy even without making a save. Anyways gets scored again and he gets no energy back. Eventually we just quit and same thing happens next game. He stopped playing goalie and we went with AI goalie which none for that happened there. I didn’t get video but I think my buddy was streaming on Twitch. If I can find the VOD I will attach it. Due to the "health stat bonuses," Once you upgrade an X-factor like Wheels, Ankle Breaker or any other X-Factor that is affected by it, you lose them, and cannot downgrade them to re-equip them. Hilariously, the AI players have these perks without meeting the stat requirements. Elite wheel? 91 acceleration 90 Speed - Karil Kaprizov. Then, for specific stats, there is no way to increase them organically. Acceleration? You are going to live with your 85 acceleration, unboosted, until the end of time. It is literally ruining the gameplay experience for me. I grinded 20 hours to get a decent loadout and I can use them 1 game per week? Or I am forced into CONSTANTLY RE-EQUIPPING THEM EVERY GAME AFTER USING MY ENERGY ONCE AGAIN TO GET MY HEALTH BONUS BACK. You've got to be kidding me. EA_Aljo Brooooo just tell them to let us use these new players in franchise mode/offline😩😩😩😭 How is it possible they are available on Wjc mode and do exactly everything the same in that mode as franchise, but they cant be put on offline rosters to use? It’s been very frustrating to play this game in all modes when the gameplay doesn’t work as it’s supposed to. For 10+ years the focus has been on this and we lost QOL content to comprise. Anyways the non-penalties and offside calls in game modes like HUT at becoming irritating. Mostly it’s against the P2W HUT players who are leading HUT Champs doing the same thing over and over exploiting the mechanics. The AI also has very little hockey IQ and doesn’t even understand where to position themselves. I get this is a video game and bugs are going to be a problem but to this extent it’s inexcusable. First thing is first, Hats off to the EA NHL Team on a good game they built this year. There’s definitely some changes with the gameplay and different modes they diligently worked on this past year. Some of the impressions of the game was the speed, this years game is faster and there is better skating. Second, there is better defending. I have noticed it is really easy playing defence this year than last year as there is more enhanced backwards skating. With all the impressions, let’s look at the few things that should be implemented or patched and they’re real simple for me. Bring the mypro intros to offline or online gameplay, I wish there were tunnel entrances for the offline modes. Second, make the red full pressure boards optional, not all of us enjoy the red boards flashing. Third, make the passing icon indicators optional as they were optional in last years game. Overall, a little more work has to be done on this game. It is good so far, but there needs to be more changes as stated previously. I would rate the game a 7/10. It is a step up from last years game, but the full pressure meter boards and the passing icons and intros need to change in order for me to give a better rating. Other than that, good job EA! National Team Selection Based on Performance National team invitations should be earned, not scripted. Selection should be based on: Season performance (points, TOI, +/-) Recent form Team role (top line, power play, leadership) Good season = invitation Poor season = no invitation This would make performance truly meaningful. 🏒 2. Full International Tournaments Inside Be A Pro International tournaments should be a real playable part of the career, not just a cutscene. Examples: IIHF World Championship World Juniors (U20) Olympics / World Cup of Hockey (when applicable) Features: Group stage + playoffs Full statistics tracked Medal games (gold / bronze match) Tournament MVP and awards 🏆 3. Real Medals and Trophies (Not Generic) Winning medals should feel special. This isn't a big issue that I know of yet. Mind you I will not touch the file cause I feel it will break my game on a whole somehow. Can someone at EA NHL explain to me what the date is for a custom Roster and why the game is making up dates that don't exist. I also can't see the iPad goalie helmets in the game even after downloading the latest roster update; even though the game as ads for it in games. Whilst there are many issue with this game this is just another one, in franchise and season modes if you look at the players that take the most penalties either your cpu teammates or opposition cpu including the other game results you might expect that the players taking the most penalties this would correspond to the discipline attribute of the player but no it doesn't. It has absolutely to connection to that attribute. Also the attribute variance across all different types of players is minimal, so I ask why and what do attributes particularly this one actually do.19Views0likes0Comments
