Custom Rosters in BAP?

I was under the assumption that whatever roster you have loaded BEFORE starting a be a pro this year, would work instead of the default.

I created a bunch of players (some of my friends) to use in the league, and then started up a be a pro and it reverted back to the default roster. Marner is still on the Leafs etc and my created players are nowhere to be found.

Is this not the case anymore? Was I mislead? I swear I seen someone post a screenshot of an EA NHL employed person saying you could use a custom roster in Be A Pro. Fake?

That's not gaslighting. Regardless, you'll need to play through the World Juniors before you can use a custom roster.

But just to be clear. For one to use custom roster. They must play the World Jrs, then create a new BAP career and select “Start in the NHL” thus loosing any progress or improvements they had made playing in the World Jrs.
Playing in the World Jrs is more like a programming switch to activate the ability to use custom rosters and not a gameplay thing.

Will they fix this? This is supposed to be fun, for example, if your character is being traded to your favourite team lile Vegas, you should have a chance to play with Marner there when 25-26 season starts. Well, surprise surprise he is still in Toronto!! Same goes to all other players.

To play with Marner in Vegas, you must start a BAP career in the NHL and select your team, you can not begin at the world jrs.
