Hello. The dump was changed to better support the pressure system. Otherwise, you could too easily kill pressure. I've taken to slapping it out of the zone. Or, if there's an open lane, I'll pass or saucer pass it out to kill more time since it'll more slowly reach the other end and not just ring around the boards to a waiting defender.

EA_Aljo Question I have is why are we taking out/nerfing an actual hockey play to support this? So many people are complaining of a lack of realism with this game and this is just another example. What's next, the team who iced the puck has -50 faceoff attribute for that draw to keep the puck in the zone? Maybe a penalty for icing the puck? That would surely increase the pressure...
I think the development team needs to look at how the game of hockey is played in the NHL. You mention running a 6' 1" 150 D man. I immediately busted up laughing. I'd love to know if there has ever been a D man in the history of the NHL who played a career at this height and weight. Your build is the perfect example of how off course this game is.
I think the development team needs to be less concerned about offense and hitting and focus more on the fundamentals of the game of hockey. Which is 100% a team sport, not this individualism the video game has morphed into.
For the first time since 2008 I decided to not buy this game. Had it pre-ordered, played the demo and tried my best to enjoy it, and after 10 hrs of that, canceled my preorder. It's drifted too far from the actual game of hockey. No longer enjoyable to play.

I agree. I'd love to see us get back to having a game that is more authentic to the sport. We've had a lot of feedback on this and I am getting it reported. Hopefully, we'll see some changes in the future.

Why do we have this pressure system? I don't know anyone who thinks pressure system should be in the game. It doesn't make sense you suddenly lose speed and energy for some artificial pressure. If team gets exhausted while defending, pressure comes naturally if so.

I honestly wouldn't mind it if they did away with pressure+, the pressure clears once the puck is out of your zone, and the NORMAL clears came back so you could clear it over the heads of the forecheckers, like you know, the real NHL.
Here's another terrible design. Even if you get the pressure off you the pressure gauge doesn't reset FULLY until you do an action like putting a shot on goal yourself or a hit. Usually, you're too tired to do any of that, so even if you clear the zone the puck comes right back in with pressure built up even after a clear.

They nerfed the puck flip so the pressure would work as intended and to favor the offense more
