EASHL Game Mode Suggestion: 3v3 with Full Team Line Changes

I’d like to suggest a new EASHL game mode that combines the fast-paced gameplay of 3v3 with the social and team-based experience of larger clubs.

Currently, if a group of six players wants to play together in EASHL, the only option is 6v6. However, many players enjoy the speed and open ice of 3v3 gameplay, and there’s no way for a full group to experience that mode together.

Proposed Mode:

Introduce a 3v3 EASHL mode that allows up to 6 players per team, with manual line changes.

How it would work:

Only 3 skaters per team are on the ice at a time (standard 3v3)

The remaining players stay on the bench

Players can manually change lines by skating to the bench when fatigued

A user-controlled teammate can jump onto the ice in real time

Line changes could be manual or assisted with a prompt/button near the bench

Why this would be great:

Lets full groups of friends (up to 6) play together without being forced into 6v6

Adds a new layer of strategy with line management and timing

Encourages teamwork, communication, and situational awareness

Keeps the speed and excitement of 3v3 while increasing player involvement

Creates a more realistic hockey dynamic with shifts and fatigue management

I believe this mode would add a fresh and engaging experience to EASHL and give players more flexibility in how they play together.

I have been talking about this with my buddies for awhile and I wanted to put it out there to see what others think!
