GM connected vs HUT

I'm curious if HUT is the reason we aren't seeing GM connected.. would an online franchise pull from that population? 

I have never got into Franchise, if GM connected was added I may try it, but I got college football and all my friends were excited to get a dynasty going and we played a few seasons but with all of us having diff schedules, jobs, kids, wives.. it became so hard to get everyone to play their games and we gave up. I started playing UT and just telling everyone "we can have an 84 ovr team" seemed easier to get a tournement going and let everyone build their teams whennthey have time rather tahn get everyone on every night to progress. With the new salary cap mode in HUT it feels like a great change. Of course if they roll out with a 99 ovr chara that is 3mil cap and creates an even bigger gap in team ovr it could ruin everything HAHA! 

Is it the drafting and stuff that people like in franchise? The stat tracking? Just curious what you guys like about GM connected. UT with a salary cap seems like it COULD be a bigger win to me than gm connected (that's just me though) maybe I'm missing out on franchise mode? Maybe I don't know why HUT is awful? Haha (sorry, I mostly only play WoC so I'm genuinely unsure and asking)
