Help controlling puck

Any tips or tricks to help me with my stick handling, I’m always getting the puck stolen away, I used the LT button to help maneuver, and I do practice a lot so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey there. I like to move the puck to my forehand/backhand, depending on the pressure I'm getting. Just trying to keep it out of reach. You also need to know when to pass though. Part of not turning it over is using your teammates and moving the puck.

  • Totally agree with Aljos post. You can also try pulling the puck back, and performing a between the legs move. Spinorama sometimes helps. But passing is one of the most effective ways of keeping puck control. It also helps to deplete the opposing teams stamina. Set your strategies accordingly as well. All elements when properly combined. Help to make your offensive/defensive play more efficient and competitive.

Since its an offensive problem you are experiencing. Set your strategies to. Overload. It will draw the opposition to the one side, making it easier for you to pass into open areas. Carry/dump. This depends on how well you adjust to puck control. If you can maintain it. Which is your goal. Then carry should be set to near zero. You want to cycle more than shoot, as shooting turns the puck over. You want to establish good positional play, so that your scoring opportunities are greater. Energy. You want to keep each lines stamina strong. Especially, when you control the puck, forcing the opposing teams stamina to dwindle. And Block. Allows your players to initiate turnovers. These are what i use. So. You may find that they dont neccessarily fit your style. Tinker around till you find a combo that helps improve your game. The process takes time and patience. So work on improving on a timely basis. You will eventually see improvement. Gl in your quest of bettering your game.  PS. What level are you playing at?
