How does hut ranked work?

I was 5-4-1 and won two games and it didn’t give me the wins, and then I lost a game and it took a win away from me so I was 4-5-1. Lost another game in overtime and now my record is 4-4-2.  Am I missing something or is this a bug? Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
