Is CPU difficulty improved in NHL 26?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if the CPU difficulty has improved in NHL 26 compared to NHL 25. In NHL 25, I stopped playing because it got too easy, even on Superstar difficulty, with all CPU sliders maxed out, I would still win the Stanley Cup every season in Franchise mode and lose maybe 10 games at most during the season.

Has anyone noticed a real improvement in AI challenge this year? I’m hoping NHL 26 offers a more competitive experience.

Too easy? LOL what? I have been adjust sliders for years to just to get the CPU to play fair on the Pro level in my franchise. Its awful having to play 20-25 games before getting the **bleep** thing to be fair.

  • I'm just like you on 25. NHL 26 is almost the same. I win 8 out of 10 games with everything maxed. Defense is much harder to play this year because poke checking and stick lifts are kind of broken. Like it's random if you hit puck/stick it or not. Presentation is better but everything else... stay on 25.

  • Max out the sliders in all areas that have a profound effect on the game. Especially Ai adaptations. The difficulty remains with the player, and how he adjusts the sliders to affect game play. The level is insignificant, if you are not maxing out the overall difficulty.
