Then matchmaking has a very serious flaw. You are basically limiting me from being able to play a goalie, and forcing me to play a position i dont want to. Our club has ~6 players, but we dont all play all the time at once. If i cant play goalie when it is just 2-3 of us , then your game logic is horrible. We dont NEED to play against another goalie but you are forcing us to because your matchmaking restrictions forces it. Give us back match my goalie then. Thats very disheartening to hear

Community ManagerThe matchmaking is looking for another team of at least 3 with a human goalie. There just aren't that many of those. It's early access, in the middle of the day on a Monday. So, the population is going to be lower. You'll probably have better matchmaking in the evenings and after the full launch.
