NHL 27 PLAYER CUSTOMIZATION & CREATION
EA_Aljo Please read this and pass it along🙏🏻. Now that it’s being discussed to push ideas for NHL 27 (even though we’re probably too late, so I hope you’ve already thought about this). PLAYER CUSTOMIZATION & CREATION I’m very grateful for the work done with face scans over the past year, more of that would definitely be appreciated. but one thing that is still far below acceptable standards and really needs updating is the options and variety for both player customization and creation. Creating players using only preset generic faces feels extremely outdated. We need more options and choices than just 5 eyebrow styles and eye colors. Like Madden and FC, we need full face modification. Creating players in today’s NHL is honestly really boring, especially younger players, for example, if you want them to be drafted a few years later in Franchise mode. We need more options! I’m fully aware that we can’t get face scans for everyone, especially in lower leagues and junior leagues, but this would remove a lot of the disappointment and make things much easier. ALSO, we need the option to edit already assigned generic faces for players, for example Oliver Moore, being able to change hairstyle, hair color, and modify the face itself. That would make everything much easier for both you and us. For 96% of players with a generic face, it doesn’t match them at all. There can be players of fully Asian background who are given a face that doesn’t resemble them whatsoever. ALSO, let us edit more than just beards for players with face scans. I’ve noticed with your new AI technology that some players end up with very wide, oversized heads and helmets that don’t fit properly (for example Alexander Holtz), and a lot of these face scans look a little off. The option to adjust things like head width and other facial features, like in Madden and FC, would eliminate this problem, with editing options, players could at least fix that themselves. At the very least, being able to change hairstyles would be incredibly valuable. For example, Shane Pinto (attached) would need an update, this would save you from constantly needing to update players and from receiving endless requests for updates. Hockey guys change hairstyles as often as they change underwear. Something else I’ve noticed is that AI-scanned faces often have helmets that are way too big. A lot of players have oversized helmets, and it looks ridiculous. We need more options to edit equipment, especially helmet size, so people can fix it themselves if it bothers them (and it really does bother people a lot). A mode like Franchise Mode would get a whole new life from this. Being able to edit faces, hairstyles, and equipment during a season, things like helmet sizes and sticks (color, graphics, patterns), and even having the option for spraypaint on the end of the stick like many players use, would make a huge difference. This issue with helmets is something that absolutely must be fixed. This should not still be a problem in 2026. I really hope you pass this forward! Thanks!🙏🏻🙏🏻59Views2likes2CommentsPlayer updates & redones
Back at it again, HeyEA_Aljo Please read this through and pass along the feedback, thanks! Here is a list of players I think deserve a redo, who really need it. Again, I appreciate that you’ve captured some likeness, it doesnt have to be 100% identical either. Some of these have a good scan, some dont. I just dont understand the thought process behind how these are made. It kind of resembles them, but still not really. Wouldnt it be better to just do it properly from the start? This isn’t a complaint, this is just feedback that I hope gets passed along and addressed. Many of these only have issues with hair and helmet fit, which is what my previous post was about, and how customization and more options would be the solution. That way, you could fix it yourself instead of asking for updates. Players are selected based on this season, how theyve developed, established themselves in the league, and what role they have. Many already have fairly high OVR ratings and will likely be even higher in the next game. Wyatt Johnston: Hair needs to be changed, and the helmet fit as well. The scan is okay, but considering he’s developing into a superstar, an update would be justified. Anton Lundell: Hmm, the scan is okay, you can tell it’s supposed to be him. Hair needs to be changed, as well as helmet fit. Niko Mikkola: Same as Lundell. Jamie Drysdale: I think he deserves an update. The likeness is there, but ingame he doesn’t look like himself at all, something feels off. Helmet fit is too big. Zach Benson: Scan is okay! It’s good, but the hair and helmet fit ruin it. Hampus Lindholm: Needs an update. 86 ovr, longtime fulltime NHLer, one of Bostons top defensemen. Remove the beard and it doesnt look like him at all. Dawson Mercer: Again, scan is okay. 84 ovr, a quieter year, but helmet and hair ruin it. Helmet is too big, and same goes for the hair. Brandt Clarke: 23 years old, 86 ovr. Again, scan is okay and the likeness is there, but Id still like an update. Hair and helmet fit ruin it. William Nylander: Scan is okay. Something weird is happening with the hairline on the side of his face. A man of many hairstyles, but it’s been the same since he was added years ago. Being able to change hairstyles on existing face scans would be the solution. William Karlsson: 2019 playoff hero, Stanley Cup winner, 84 ovr, A on his chest, low elite. This is not a face scan, and there’s no real likeness either,he deserves to have his real face included. Tyler Bertuzzi: This speaks for itself Again, this isn’t all of them, there are more, but these are the ones I think deserve an update. Or, as I said, giving us access to fix it ourselves with a new customization system would be ideal. I know many people don’t think this matters, but I know you pay attention to details and aim to create a realistic game, this plays a big part in that. For us offline players, this matters a lot. We want a realistic hockey experience without that arcade feel. Thanks againEA_Aljo5Views0likes0CommentsWhat does everyone want to c in NHL27

hey everybody hoping someone can point me in the right direction, im newer to pc gaming i get the basics but troubleshooting im still working on LOL i have been playing nhl 25 on pc through the xbox app for months. i was stoked to see nhl 26 released this week on game pass. got home and downloaded it on the xbox, it plays fine. when i bring it up on the xbox app on pc i dont get the "play" option i only get the "see in store". when i click that the only option is "share" i've tried googling and checking all of the settings i know to check. what am i missing? any help is greatly appreciated77Views0likes7CommentsAtlantic Canada Ping
If you live in Atlantic Canada do not buy this game. The closest server is in Montreal and you have severe input delay matching Montreal players 95 percent of the time. There’s no ping differential setting and you can see them doing things you literally can’t with the delay. I have fibre internet wired and controller wired living in Newfoundland and still nothing you can do about it.16Views0likes0CommentsBe a Pro Issues
Okay, so clearly this mode wasn’t play tested by the development team. Maybe they weren’t given time, idk. form score in the last patch was updated for scratch, 4th line and 3rd line players. Glad to see it. What about 2nd and first line players? To get on 1st line I need to have 85 form score???? What? That literally is not possible if you play on a higher difficulty. it is not realistic to score a goal a game. I don’t want to do that. I want a challenge. EA_Aljo can the team fix form score? At a bare minimum can we be told explicitly how it is calculated? I’m leading my team in goals, points plus minus and I’m not on the top line because I can’t get 85 form score. This is impossible. Second issue that clearly was not QA’d or play tested: my player has pretty much lost the X factor ability wheels. Why? Because I didn’t realize my acceleration stat (which I have maxed out in the TP tree) is at 90 when my health is at max (giving a bonus of 5%). I upgraded my wheels X factor to blue which requires 89 acceleration. So now if I play a game, my health goes down and I lose the X factor ability and can’t equip it because I lose the 5% acceleration stat. And there is NO WAY to equip yellow wheels again. Seriously, I’m trying to have respect for the development team, I’m a developer myself, but I swear these people don’t think. How can I increase my acceleration stat in the game through gameplay? Since I’ve maxed out the acceleration TP tree, I’m kinda screwed??1KViews3likes20CommentsUpdated: LIST OF ALL NHL26 NEW FACE SCANS ADDED AND MISSING

EA_Aljo Here is a timeline of alumni players and alumni teams in the NHL video game. • NHL 19: EA Sports added alumni players and alumni teams to the game. • NHL 20: With the exception of the Vegas Golden Knights, EA Sports added an alumni team for every NHL team. In addition, three former NHL teams, the Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars, and Quebec Nordiques, received their own alumni teams. • NHL 25: EA Sports removed the Arizona Coyotes' alumni team from the game and added the Vegas Golden Knights' alumni team, which is unusually found under the name Vegas Golden Knights Icons. • EA Sports has added new alumni players to the game annually, but unfortunately, some alumni players have also been removed. Removed players include at least P.K. Subban, Bobby Orr, Guy Lafleur, Pavel Datsyuk, Paul Bissonnette, Cam Neely, Patric Hörnqvist, Tyler Weiman and Wendell Young, and Bobby Hull. • The alumni teams also feature some players who are still playing in the NHL. These players include Mikael Granlund, Anton Forsberg, Nino Niederreiter, and most of the Vegas Golden Knights team's players. We currently have a relatively good selection of alumni players in the game, but it would be nice to have Pavel Datsyuk, P.K. Subban, Bobby Orr, Bobby Hull, and Guy Lafleur back in the game. Of course, it would also be good to have new alumni players added to the game, such as: Goaltenders: Miikka Kiprusoff, Tuukka Rask, Kari Lehtonen, Tommy Salo, Nikolai Khabibulin, Jose Theodore, Tim Thomas, Arturs Irbe, Martin Gerber, and Jonas Hiller. Defensemen: Kimmo Timonen, Scott Stevens, Brian Rafalski, Doug Wilson, Kevin Hatcher, Andrei Markov, Tomas Kaberle, Mark Streit, Dustin Byfuglien, Roman Hamrlík, Ruslan Salei, and Sandis Ozoliņš. Forwards: Mikko Koivu, Johan Frantzen, Valtteri Filppula, Andrei & Sergei Kostitsyn, Mikhail Grabovski, Alexander Mogilny, Pavel Bure, Ilya Kovalchuk, Thomas Vanek, Pavol Demitra, Marián Gáborík, Miroslav Šatan, Ziggy Palffy, Tony Amonte, Zach Parise, Paul Kariya and Vincent Lecavalier. I see that EA Sports could develop this alumni player feature further, here are a few ideas on how. • Classic Teams: NBA 2K has two types of alumni teams; there are All-Time alumni teams, which could be compared to the NHL team alumni teams in NHL 26, and then there are classic teams. Classic teams are from specific seasons, e.g., '05-'06 Miami Heat, '00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers, and '95-'96 Chicago Bulls. In NHL 27, it would be great to see classic teams such as: Montreal Canadiens '92-'93, Tampa Bay Lightning '03-'04, '06-'07 Anaheim Ducks, '00-'01 Colorado Avalanche, or '63-'64 Toronto Maple Leafs. • Alumni National Teams: This could be a good addition to the alumni teams. All-Time Finland, All-Time Sweden, All-Time Canada, All-Time USA, All-Time Czechia, All-Time Slovakia, All-Time Russia. In addition, it would be nice to have the Atlanta Thrashers and Arizona alumni teams back in the game. If licensing issues prevent this from happening with the correct name, then perhaps similarly to how some Serie A teams are in EAFC, with real players but not real team names. The Atlanta Thrashers could be the Atlanta Hockey Club, and the Arizona Coyotes could be the Arizona or Phoenix Hockey Club. Hopefully EA Sports could add at least some of these players and ideas to NHL 27. .87Views1like4CommentsNo more updates?
So EA, I guess your not going to update NHL26 anymore? so no more updates for Be A Pro's form score where you don't have to score a point to get 100 for a game? no more for the piece of crap poke checks/stick lifts? no more for the late hits? do I need to go on? I played a game where the other team did NOT score when my player was on the ice AND we won AND I had all green (well above the target % by the way) in the coaches score BUT the ONLY thing I did not do was score a point so I get a 63 form score for that game? BS. I should have gotten a 100. if you can't make it where scoring is separate for a particular position, then make it the LOWEST in the line for the form score. I'm sick and tired playing with an enforcer Dman and have to score points just to keep a decent form score. and what I mean by decent is getting a 90-95 score when I DO NOT score a point, get a +1 to +2, get 5-10 shots on goal, get 5 or more hits, and they do not score when my player is on the ice. that is a great game for an enforcer. oh and playing with an enforcer there should be no reason why he has to get 65% target coaches score in offense. the highest that should be on FIRST PAIRING is 50. that is NOT an offensive position. they are there to punish the other team NOT score. it even says that in the coaches score tip for that position. yea on 3rd pairing you need only 45 but the team play is 85. how can you get 85 when you have to try and score instead of passing and hitting and fighting? the whole game just sucks77Views1like0Comments
