It is now end of March 2026 and we still do not find NHL 26 as an option in our XBox GamePass Ultimate subscription with CloudGaming. When will EA and Microsoft have come to a decision to bring it or not? NHL 25 is available, but who wants to play old stuff. I would appreciate a statement.

In case you missed it, Xbox recently announced that NHL 26 will be added to Xbox Game Pass on the 16th of April.
Im also wondering, I hate that they dont release it on pc to begin with...
NHL25 was added to GamePass on April 10th and I believe they announced it only couple of days in advance, 5th of April or something. Looking at the reviews I wouldn't even mind if they didn't drop 26 for GamePass members this year.
As for the PC version launch, don't hold your breath.
Since I have GamePass for other games, I would appreciate to have NHL 26, even when the game is no more what it once was. Yes, the chances, that they will bring a PC version back are almost zero. And if they don't want to bring it back to the NHL 14 level, it is not even a big deal.
Honestly guys its better for your mental health if it doesn't go on gamepass. Trust me, I'm currently locked up in an asylum at present after playing this game since release. 🤪
Totally agree. There are tons of discussions about this topic here and in other places. I had a shimmer of hope for the new owners to find their way back to support this game instead of letting it die and direct their devs towards this, but I guess we will not be lucky enough. The fact, that we not even get it on GamePass Ultimate on Cloud speaks for itself. Cannot be a technical problem, because NHL 25 is working too.

OK. I get it. My claim that we will not even get it on GamePass was wrong. We cannot know yet. Sorry for that. Let me put it this way. The fact, that NHL 26 was released back in September (if I remember that correctly) but might eventually become available for GamePass this spring does not look like the new ownership has plans to push towards PC as a market again. Yes, this is speculative, but it is what i think. Nonetheless I am looking forward to seeing if I can play NHL 26 on PC what would be great.

I know that the PIF, Affinity Partners and Silver Lake were taking over back in September 2025. This was the change I was referring to. I had hope that this would lead to more care about NHL. And yes, thanks. I am sure that EA will announce it, when they would come back to the PC world.
