This manufactured excitement is a joke. Literally nothing all period till the last minute basically so you guys can have made up excitement in the game. It's ridiculous and so beyond old it's more tiresome than anything now
Community ManagerLast minute goals aren't coded into the game. AI players will fight harder and take more chances. They are not coded to score. I'm locking this thread to prevent further misinformation.
I just want to add that after the latest update it feels like in Franchise mode the CPU scores 2–3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the opening period almost every game. The first goal usually comes from their very first or second shot, and it’s nearly impossible to chase the score for the rest of the match. On top of that, the CPU keeps scoring these super easy rebound goals right in front of the net. I’m playing on All-Star difficulty, so I have no idea how bad (or different) it is on the other difficulty levels.
