If they wanted to they would have. It was a choice to remove it and a choice to not bring it back. My assumption was they got tired of people saying they were waiting 30 minutes for a game, so they are artificially shortening wait times by forcing you to jump into a bigger pool.

What is your room size? So far, I've had no issues with finding matches. I have heard teams of 2 or 3 with a human goalie are struggling though. Which, isn't too surprising since there aren't many teams with a human goalie and 1 or 2 human skaters. The player pool is going to be a lot smaller in that case.
We ran club last night with 5 players and no goalie. We would get matched up with teams of 2 and 3 humans. It's in this scenario that match club size would be preferred. Yes, we'd wait longer - but playing against the AI when you have a team full of humans is just not fun.
The Ai tends to be somewhat infallible on teams where humans have learned how to maximize them. We play club for the human vs human experience and playing against bots feels cumbersome and monotonous.

Yes when the team I'm on has 5 of us and we get matched up with a team of 2 or 3 we end up backing out until it matches us up with a team of 4 or 5. Need to bring the +/- 1 match club size back.

Further proof EA_Aljo and EA doesnt understand the issue. Same responses on my post. The issue IS NOT WITH FINDING GAMES! It is beyond easy to find a game in NHL 26, so if that was your goal, kudos you did it.
The issue remains, and PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY, is that clubs with smaller player pools, aka ArE_u_FrUiTy , or myself, where sure, our club size is 6-7 people, but on average due to work and outside obligations, may only have 2-3 people on at once, we do NOT want to play against a team of 5-6 people EVERY game. Why that is hard for you to understand I will never know. But playing against 5-6 other humans is beyond terrible, especially with how broken your loadout X factors are. Its unrealistic, its not fun, and it ruins the WoC experience. Or alternatively, if we ARE all on, similar to others posts, playing against 2-3 people is equally as crappy.
Again, in my post you said you havent heard people complain about club size/matching goalie. Here is yet another post begging to bring it back. Finding a game in 5-10secs is great, but if the game is just going to suck, id rather wait the extra min to find a club size the same as mine, then suffer with an unplayable experience every single game.

Even in 3s I'd personally enjoy having a setting for match club size like they used to have. 2v2 or 3v3 human skaters is more fair than one team having ai but the other not. Can be optional but for people who want to only search for same size teams would be nice

They didn't mention their room size. Which is why I asked. I am fully aware games can be found, but you want to play with 2 skaters and a human goalie. That's where the issue lies. There are very few teams running that same makeup of human players. Even having room size matching, you'd still have the same issue. That won't fix that few teams of 2 or 3 have a human goalie. There have to actually be other teams with a reasonable ping searching at the same time.

EA_Aljo no, i have given up the goalie conversation, you wont address that as a company and ive accepted that. I am talking about this post and playing as a skater with my skater teammates. Read the post, and everyones replies before formulating the SAME response everywhere.
Forget goalie, you already told me EA does - This discussion is about match my club size. Its still garbage that a club with 2-3 SKATERS, has to always play a team of 5 Skaters, and vice versa. The very first post states that and same with the subsequent posts. You asking what their club size is, and stating you have no trouble finding a game is irrelevant for asking for the feature back that makes gameplay better in all aspects. The arrogance of ignoring the conversation is mind boggling.

I'm sorry for coming off as arrogant. That's absolutely not the intent. I'm using my own experience as an example of how matchmaking is working for many of us. Granted, I mostly play 4s, 5s and 6s so I'm going to have an easier time than if I were searching for clubs of 2 or 3. Matchmaking is also dependent on ping. So, if you have a higher ping, it's going to be harder to find matches.
Matchmaking already prioritizes the same room size. If they can't be found, the search will expand. So, having the match room size option would get you better matches, but at the expense of a longer wait.

The thing is, people who want that option are only going to play against other teams with the same number of players anyway. They're going to back out of any match-ups that don't have the same number of players on the other side. Quickly finding match-ups that teams are going to back out of isn't useful for anyone. Giving the option to match team size may increase the search time for finding a match-up, but it won't increase the search time to fine a game. And if teams found they didn't like the extra wait, they'd have the choice to open up their search criteria.
