I am not against the new format regarding building your team. Its broken done to 3 sectors. Salary. XP. Ovr. Its the salary i have a contention with. The salaries are artificial. They dont represent ...
But unless they have a baseline (overall rating equals their salary outside of bonuses) everyone would stack alumni players so that salaries would be a fraction of today’s cost. Gotta think of it as rating given creates their EA salary. Can’t think of it in NHL terms or it’s a mess lol
Its not that we are not on the same page here regarding the issue. Your recognition of alumni players creating a problem is understandable. Its how they went about creating this mess. When you involve too many facets to the mix, you end up with a system that stymies the intent. EA has for years introduced players in all sorts of new labelling. Including base icons, alumni players as well as XP ones. Right now my team is rated 84. And I am at 119.9 mil of the 120 mil cap. I cant upgrade my goalie, do the fact his salary would increase. I have 81 and 82 cards with 3 and 4 mil salaries. Rookies are at 7 and 8 mil. If. EA had constructed this from the actual salary base of all players. We wouldnt have this collage of players who are over valued. At least this way. You could encompass Alumni players into the mix, without having to worry that their bloated salaries would cause you to overcede the cap. Personally. This is just another creation by EA to have you flip cards. As they do with some of the objectives. Score goals with a grudge match Bruin player, or score goals with an alumni Leaf player. And the grudge match combination boosts, always changing. Like i stated earlier. Having to build a team under a salary cap is a good concept. If done with actual #s and not super imposed ones.
