Just to clarify, this is a very specific and limited request from a technical and user experience standpoint. What is being suggested is a purely client side visual option, with no impact on gameplay, balance, or online integrity. It would simply allow players to control how opponent visuals are rendered on their own screen.
The same applies to jersey visibility. Matches where both teams end up with dark or very similar colors happen regularly and hurt readability. A simple local option such as forcing opponent jerseys to white would solve this immediately without affecting anyone else.
It would be great to know whether client side visual overrides and visibility options like these are something the team generally considers within the scope of EASHL and accessibility improvements.
