I can understand your point, skill may still be the determining factor but its a bad look. If two combatants are having a sword fight, one gets a wooden sword, the other a steel one, yes the more skilled fighter will likely win, but its no longer a fair fight. Its similar with builds you have to pay for. For a long time EA has looked to focus on competitive play in EASHL, removing RNG items like broken glass or broken sticks at the request of players. Those things have found their way back in. These newer builds throw off the balance of customizing your player. It seems the priorities have changed.
