The fortnite-ification of hockey

EA was pretty darn good before online gaming came along.  NBA live was decent until 2009 or so, NHL was always good.  It's like the developers around 2010 came up with this platform, menu system, card system, etc., and it kinda sucked from the beginning and they just keep adding on top of it.

I wish NHL would target NHL fans instead of the Fortnite crowd.  Pumkin head characters in CHEL? Women hockey players in an NHL card game.  A card game where there are no cards to collect (no teams to collect, just cards as currency).  No focus on stats, which is kinda big for a sports game.  EA branded ice, can't use the arena ice we pay for the majority of the time.

But they did master how to make us have to keep buying the same players over and over.  They've managed to keep friends from being able to compete against each other with no effort whatsoever put in anything other than the "play now" option.  

And I guess with the addition of womens cards in HUT they think women and eunuchs are going to be the new buyers of the game, eh?  Good luck with that.
