Personally, I think the devs are just pushing people to have full teams of humans in WoC. The mode is FOR teams of humans. Online vs is for cpu and humans. If you run with a cpu in WoC then you SHOULD be at a disadvantage. A CPU should not be a crutch or even base level. That's just my opinion. Gone are the days of teams cherry picking while a cpu d man breaks up a 2 on 1 and then perfectly bounces a saucer off the boards onto a wings stick for an easy goal. EASHL will be FAR better when games are played with max humans.
Preface: My comment's mainly geared toward drop-in. The problem is matchmaking still matches you with an incomplete team constantly. We can't choose to wait for a full lobby. There's no join in progress (like every other modern video game). So you either quit out and go through several menus to search again (which you may have to do multiple times) OR you play with the busted cpu. It just makes me simply not wanna play which is why I haven't decided to buy the game. I don't know that I even will this year because they don't seem to care that this is an issue.
