Why do AI teammates hide behind the defense?

I don't know why is EA so determined to make this game unplayable but they have succeeded.

Trying really hard to find a playable game mode but whether in Be a Pro or Franchise AI teammates are constantly hiding behind their checks like a four year olds playing hide and seek. This is not only the opposite of what EA explicitly promised in their trailler but it is an intentional programming decision on EA's part.

Is anything going to be done to fix this game?
