Ea I updated I don’t new jerseys

Is there a reason for doing it that way (together with the roster update)? I don't know how the other sports games handle it. I understand that a new roster file to an existing franchise won't update the roster, but stuff like new jerseys and stuff like that would be nice if it was added in a separate kind of update.

Main reason is of course that if I'm deep into a franchise and a team adds a new jersey or another change that I will miss with my current franchise. As far as I know there's no other way to get the update than to use a new roster, which will take away all the manual work done to the roster used when the franchise was started, and starting a new franchise because of the update will remove all previous progress, simply because a team has added a jersey.

It would be very nice if it was possible to download separate files or something. Download new jerseys to an existing franchise mode, because it doesn't feel like something most want to start over because of, even if we do want to have it added.

And it is hijacking the discussion a bit, but it would also be nice if teams actually used their special jerseys during the season, without us as the player changing it. Most teams use those jerseys on home games on Saturdays or some special occasion, but keeping track to manually change it (especially for the CPU) on those days, I wonder how many remember to do that?
