Game Still Crashing
Alright at this point I have tried absolutely everything to fix NHL26 from crashing besides buying a new console. I have two Xbox series X’s due to traveling from different states and had this issue constantly on my original Xbox series X. Every game I play besides NHL runs flawlessly and I cannot say the last time it crashed. From playing hours of MLB I believe I have never once crashed mid game. I ended up buying a new Xbox for my alternate location so I wouldn’t have to pack my Xbox whenever I traveled and it is about 4 months old now and am still having the crashing issue on this game. Tonight I tried to play hut and 2/3 games have crashed. One being in the third period and the other one was 2 minutes into the first period. I have gotten my Xbox’s professionally cleaned, purchased an expansion card, upgraded internet, spent hours on threads and many videos on how to fix this issue, and truly seems there is absolutely no fix. I will not purchase another new console as my other one that is only 4 months old has this problem as well. What I have gathered it is something with an Xbox series X and every other console does not have this issue. Ea has no fix or solution to this so I would advise if you only play NHL do not purchase an Xbox series X as this game is literally unplayable on it. Doesn’t matter what mode you play. Doesn’t matter what you do to try and fix it. It will crash non stop. It is so frustrating as truly any other game you play will run with no issues at all. Just don’t waste your time or money trying to fix it. Nothing will work. This issue has been going on for a few NHL year cycles and still no fix.Lost a player who wasn't on the waivers list
I play a franchise with the Avalanche and Makar returned after an injury. I could adapt the squad myself or let the game choose best squad. I did it myself and included Makar in the NHL squad and sent Malinski to AHL. Then a new message popped up and it said Blue Jackets claimed Makar as a waiver and Makar was gone and the game told me to bring a player from AHL to make the NHL squad complete. Makar wasn't even on the Waivers list. I'm basically crying and don't know what to do. Anyone else experienced to lose a player like this?Help! Hut locked achievement after they reset goals from 50 down to 15
This week's NHL26 Hut Gamebreakers missions originally included a "Score 50 goals with any HUT game breakers player item". I thought that was kind of high but was grinding the goals with an all Gamebreaker team. The required goal total was changed from 50 down to 15 pretty quickly but I was already above the 15 count. Now it displays with the 15/15 goals total but still white and not the clickable green "complete" status so I'm stuck. I finished it but cant claim it, so locked out of the week's Breaker Pack. Picture below. Hoping EA realizes this follow-on error after they reset it. (Should have just left it at 50.) If there's a better place to post or send it for help, appreciate advice. Trying to do a 33 team custom league. I hate your expansion mode because the teams don't protect their players logically. Your game's scheduling engine is totally bogus. Even with a simple two division structure with 17 in one and 16 in the other it can't handle it. In the attached screenshot it shows the game counts for a team in the 17 team conference. 80 game season 32 inter conference games 48 intra conference games It should be a flat 3 games against every team yet your game spits out two 4 game series and two 2 game series.Ranked Play
So yeah, this may be whining a bit, but let's face it...the community (US) play games because we enjoy them, correct? So tell me NHL Creators, why do we have to grind and play our **bleep** off just to get screwed over? Why can I not win a face off against other players? Why is my defense always skating backwards.....so that the other team can just pass them easily and score? Why are high OVR Goalies with AP active not stopping goals? Is this really how the community is supposed to enjoy gaming? I don't think so. Why don't you game creators make the game EVEN for EVERYONE, not just people that put lots of money into the game. I’ve been dealing with this crash for about 4 - 5 games (NHL 22 -26). I thought it might be fixed finally this year, but no. I’ve seen other reports on this and no solutions. Every 3-5 games (playing mostly HUT) the game freezes and then boots me back to the dashboard. It’s super frustrating considering there’s challenges and rewards given based on going undefeated or wins in a row. Pretty much impossible to play or get anything done in the game. I’m on Xbox series X. I’ve done factory reset, changed my camera angle, done a power cycle… none of these have worked. I don’t know what to do at this point, feels like a waste of money buying the game at this point. [CM - Minor title edit for clarity]Online Versus Feedback – Please Improve Gameplay Consistency
Hello EA, I only play Online Versus, and I really enjoy the mode. However, there are several issues that make the experience frustrating. I hope you will consider the following feedback. 1. Add an "Avoid Player" option Please give players the option to avoid being matched against specific opponents. It would make the experience much better without affecting normal matchmaking for everyone else. 2. Improve matchmaking based on connection quality Some matches are affected by freezing, lag, or unstable connections. It would be great if players with poor or unstable connections were less likely to be matched together. 3. Body checking feels extremely inconsistent This is my biggest concern. In most Online Versus games, it is difficult to land body checks because skilled players can easily avoid them. Then, every once in a while, I face an opponent who somehow lands 40–50 successful body checks in a single game. That feels completely different from every other match. Please investigate whether this could be related to gameplay balance, netcode, desynchronization, or another issue. 4. Too many injuries and excessive fatigue from body checking When one player lands an unusually high number of body checks, it often causes multiple injuries and drains the opposing team's energy. This has a huge impact on the outcome of the game and does not feel balanced or fair. 5. Goalie consistency Goalies often feel inconsistent. Some games my goalie allows very soft shots, while the opposing goalie makes multiple breakaway saves and cross-crease saves that seem almost impossible. The difference between goalies from one game to another feels too large. Final thoughts I love Online Versus and want NHL to be the best hockey game possible. I'm not accusing anyone of cheating. I'm simply asking EA to investigate these gameplay inconsistencies and improve the overall experience. Thank you for reading and for continuing to support the NHL community.game disconnect nightly...
Every night play in Chel online league play(NHL26) i will drop several games a night. It will lag out and drop me from the game saying "you have been disconnected from the EA servers" . I do not drop from the game chat with my friends. Last night i played in 3 games and dropped from every game. I don;t drop from Call of Duty or Helldivers when i play those games. My PS5 is connected via lan cable and my internet is 500/50. I searched and found some ports to try and added those to port forwarding. I changed DNS from google to cloudflare, Changed from Lan cable to wifi and nothing has helped. Has anyone experienced this crap and is there any other workarounds?
