This is incorrect.  I play on 20 minute periods and have had entire periods go by with zero ice time.    For reference the average 4th line time per game is 7-10 minutes or 2 1/3 minutes to 3 1/3 minutes per period.  Right now the game if it's feeling generous will give you two 30-35 second shifts per period,  but it's often one shift in the middle of the period for the same 35 seconds or no shifts at all. 

I’m not getting any ice time at all it’s just simming the entire period without me getting to play where it would usually stop at a certain time so I can have a shift it’s not letting me 

So, you're not actually getting 1 or 2 30 second shifts?
