Woc team transfer

I was able to transfer my WOC team name over when I first clicked create a team. I’m only have 1 other teammate. A few minutes after creating the team, I decided I wanted my partner to be club creator this year. So I deleted the team… just to find out he can’t make it online yet and just wants the team made he doesn’t care. So now when I go to remake the team, I get a message “This name is reserved by a club in the previous title, please use a different name.” Will my partner be able to transfer the club over of he tries to create the team? They were a GM only. If the answer is no, how can we obtain our team name still? That name will not only be locked for us, but for all players forever. We’d just like the team name :)

Sadly I think that team now is now gonna be locked until November 20th. In the future when you create a club and want to make someone the new owner what you do is boot out everything but the person you want to make the creator then leave. It should auto make them the new creator.

Why exactly November 20th sorry? See I was thinking that but it raises another question. If I leave my club on 25 now leaving my friend as creator, would it still work? I already technically accepted the transfer. Or would the creator leaving the club after accepting unlock the name, or “lock” it even further now that I’m not in that club anymore or creator. If I recall correctly, you can’t change names mid season? So if it was locked untill Nov. 20th, we’d lose a whole 2 months of team progression just to get the name. Any info on WHY Nov 20th would be awesome. Appreciate the response👍

I'm uncertain if you tried that by trying to re-use 25. There should have been a prompt that popped up saying team transfers from 25 ended. So pretty much they are giving everyone until the next season starts. Which is like 2 months so there is plenty of time for people to buy the game.

Update for you and the thread. I removed myself from the team on 25, leaving my friend as the club creator. It still showed the same message of the name being reserved. It allowed him the option to transfer the team when he tried as club creator! So swapping club creators DID work. And this is after I alreadt transferred it then deleted. So I guess we got at least 2 tries at it! This was all my own mistake, so I’m happy we were able to still figure something out. Appreciate the response and help!
