L2/L trigger fix suggestions

I’ve made a few in a different post but will sum them up here. Maybe others could add their suggestions here as well. If this thread doesn’t get replies I will delete it but thought it may be easier to have suggestions all in the same place. (Hoping for only suggestions though and not frustration comments). 

  • stamina cost increase if used in between blue lines with puck for more than a half second (quick ones shouldn’t be massively punished imo as it is useful)
  • Upgrade pokechecks making them a possible way to defend against it and not mandatorily giving you a penalty 
  • Speed decrease after a set amount of time and making your player more prone to injury while your back is turned facing a defender
  • Delay passing and shooting slightly as your player faces their desired direction
  • Have it significantly decrease your puck control if used longer than whatever EA deems an acceptable length
  • lower shot accuracy while shooting the puck in a reverse position (I don’t care so much about this one as I think the problem is more carrying it up the entire rink rather than using it as an evasive manoeuvre in the opponents scoring zone)

  • Just turn all their attributes to 0 when using it in a prolonged state.

    What do you consider “unnecessary” though? Players can protect the the puck with their body. That would be like removing deking on a breakaway that has consistently scored since the original NHL was released. It just needs a fix somehow.

    We can't just remove L2/LT. There would be no pivoting and that's pretty crucial to gameplay.
