Although I don't play online I like the idea of a player rating upon the completion of a game, BUT I'd support a POSITIVE rating option, like "Good Sport", "Plays Fair", "Had a good Game", or something along these lines, because keep in mind, if you would have somewhat like a +/- rating in place the outcome would be rather NOT objective. Just imagine the **bleep**storm and false accusations people would be submitting after a loss no matter what? SO, my suggestion, if you had a good gaming experience, leave a good rating. This way there would be NO abuse of the rating system and peeps who play a fair game would be rewarded as such.
