That's just misinformation.
Logically, you shouldn't be able to backskate forwards.
If the developers actually wanted to make the game closer to real life, vision control would be a 1 or 2 second toggle only used to reposition, with a severe speed penalty, 2 seconds after the pivot.
Only in NHL can you skate full speed to the right, turn on a dime with L2 with zero stopping animation or speed penalty and still maintain possession while getting sandwiched between 2 defenders.
It's not hockey. It hasn't been fixed because it's intentional.

Community ManagerThey way LT is being used is not intentional. It's an exploit that needs to be fixed. If it were as easy as everyone thinks, it would have been done by now.
So it's an issue that needs to be fixed, so the only thing being done to address it is to reward the players who abuse it to gain unfair advantages in Ranked matches....
There is no way to report players for using it. Even if a fix wasn't made because it was too complicated, there is still NO alternative created to actually give some control to players who get run up 14-0 in games against these exploiters. And doing nothing is still a statement in itself.
Ridiculous and horrible experience to deal with this as soon as you hit Gold 4/5 and the only way to beat them is to join them.
