So on the new tweet released today it seems like the combos we can use are selected by EA? Or is it team and country based along with the boosts EA gives out? Because I know the majority of the community myself included was really excited to play with a theme team and get away from everyone having the same team.
The line combo's etc are set by ea and are going to change each season.
That information was passed around under false pretenses. The line combinations are solely the 36 (6 FWD, 6 DEF for the categories of OVR, AP, and Salary) that EA will be creating based on whatever there reasonings are. They are the same for everybody and are set in stone until, I believe the next season.
Personally to me, salary cap, line combinations and chemistry are great adds to UT, much needed update to absolutely boring Ultimate Team gamemode. Now for instance i can start with Liiga team and start to add some NHL players from there, i just love this. Youtube has some videos explaining the line combinations etc. for help.
Why does it feel like EA is dictating the way I should build my team, salary cap ,line combinations ,even how chemistry works ..maybe hut is out this year, and with all these new abilities ,with some seeming like they're going to be op and make the game well at least hut look and feel more arcadey, I think this year ill just stick Versus, I always found that Versus played better than HUT, in my opinion
I agree, there should always be a minimal boost if you’re using players from the same team. The preset combos is going to price lock certain cards as many folks will go after the same thing.
I would expect EA is picking combo’s based on guaranteed reward cards released for that specific season. But there needs to be additional card content to give some variety vs just free reward cards. Hopefully there will be plenty of quantity, but who knows until early access.
