Moments? When will you stop?

To whom is in charge of Moments,

Please tone it down.  The mode is really not enjoyable.  We literally laugh at the game, not because we are having a good time, that would be welcome.  But because of how it plays.  It is completely different than any other mode, please stop.  We know you want it to be a challenge for us, I get it. But at some point fun, or a game's enjoyment, should be a priority.  Like everyone says...."it's just a game".  These extra modes have been an issue for a very long time, going back to HUT Rush even.  It's just gotten so much worse.  I truly have no idea why you have fatigue ON for Moments.  It seems like a missed opportunity to just turn that off and let us try with no fatigue.  The game is really unappealing in a fatigued state.  Asking us to complete 10 backhand shots hardly feels like a "moment" of any significance to Conner Bedard.  Who's idea was that?  Please reconsider what you want our experience to be.  I really want to like the game, and the crew making it.

  • Really? You’ve never taken 10 backhand shots in 2 minutes while playing real hockey before? Lol. Sorry couldn’t even type that with a straight face. Yeah beyond ridiculous since just prior was 8 shots in a game. What they want us to do is idiotic and with the amazing players they give us to help out is even worse. Half the time it’s players the person has never played with. So over doing moments just like playing wildcard. Two useless modes. Most the time are just overpowered and more frustrating then they should be.

I agree, completely ridiculous. Please EA do something about these moments, please make them fun and not incredibly frustrating shores. I think there are two main problems, you don't give enough time to compete these by just playing the game and the difficulty levels are way too high. Stamina is also an issue as said above.

To have a shot at completing some of these you have to:

Stick lifts/block shots/poke checks: call for a pass from your CPU teammates, then dump the puck to the opposing team CPU, then try to poke check/stick lift/block shots, then repeat.

Score more than 3 goals: score a goal, pull your goalie, let the CPU score, then score again, then score two empty net goals (4 goals).

For over two years, there has been feedback from so many people.

EA ignores ALL of it. EA will not change anything, ever.

And every time EA releases a Moments on Pro difficulty, it's another slap in the face to customers.

Yes, the Sanheim and Parayko get 5 stick check moments are ridiculous.  For Parayko, the Blackhawks can't ever win a faceoff to get the puck, and whenever they do get it (which is rare) they immediately lose it.  Then in the unlikely chance I get a stick check opportunity, I will stick check, knock the puck away, and it won't register as a stick check.  Clearly you have zero respect for our time.  Do any of the developers play the game or think these things through?  Is there some bean counter forcing this nonsense on the developers?

Agreed Phasto.  We were also told a few years ago that they wanted "all modes" to play the same.  That is clearly not what is going on.  It never did actually.  Most of us only play these offline modes for the rewards.  I see no reason to purposely annoy their loyal customer base.  It is a terrible use of time

it's a ridiculous ask.  Half the time, when you actually make contact with a poke check, it doesn't register anyways.

  • The sad reality is that everything, and I mean everything, is built around and specifically meant to push you towards buying packs to skip all the grinding. You can not compete in the game unless you grind the game almost like it is a job or open up your wallet to buy packs. Just look at the ridiculous amount of packs available to purchase in the store. If they put half of the amount of time they put into HUT packs into building a connected franchise, it would be the greatest and most enjoyable mode in all of sports video games.

  • Yes, i do believe there is a certain "drive the customer crazy" aspect to their methods.  It's not even just the overt effort to get people to spend, it's literally also the game play.  No other game i play do i yell at my TV as much as this game makes you.  It's upsetting really.
