Next Gen set disappeared early.

Was the timer on the Next Gen set due to end before 5pm? 
I logged on at 4:50pm and when I went to complete the set at 4:55pm my Next Gen set was replaced with Nexus Set. Making my next Gen Collectibles useless, and now I have 5 Next Gen 84's I couldn't trade in for a Master Set Player. Why remove sets before they expire? This is extremely shady. 

Is there any way we could get the sets back even for just a day?? 
Sets shouldn't expire... Especially early before 5pm roll over.
