If you manually download the latest roster update from the Roster menu, you NEVER see a message or experience a delay when starting HUT.
I have manually downloaded the most recent roster update and get this message every time. Regardless, it's really only a problem if you can't get past this screen.

But that changed with yesterday's update

That was the case when I did it last time there was a roster update. My HUT downloaded the roster every time I started it. When I downloaded the then newest roster update manually, it stopped. But now after the last update HUT started to download it again every time I start it. Not a big deal, I will wait and see if it stops with the next roster update again when I download that.
It's not uncommon to see the downloading roster message even after manually downloading the latest roster update. It would be an issue if it hangs on this screen though. Normally, it will load to the main HUT menu shortly.

Hello. This is normal Unless you're getting an error it's taking unusually long. It should be quick though.

And I notice that since the update HUT tries to download a new roster every time I start it, even when there is no new roster downloadable in the Roster menu. Anybody else notice this? It might be an issue with GamePass CloudGaming, since I do not play on console.
