Omg is HUT cup chase a joke
I’ll start by saying it’s pretty much all a joke as it’s so easy to see it’s a pay to play system. The rewards for just about everything are pathetic, gee I grinded out a whole cup chase season and won on superstar mode and you gave me an 88 OVR as my best card….thanks, I could barely contain my excitement. But honestly, the ranking system in competitive mode sucks, and cup chase is seriously the worst mode of a video game I’ve ever played!! I can literally tell the people sitting in my living room what’s going to happen next like clockwork!! Ok I scored so they are going to skate right down and score now, anddddd bingo! It’s like a toddler who gets mad because he didn’t get one too so they make sure they get one too to keep them happy!! It’s ridiculous!! The soft goals that go in against my 97ovr goalie while I literally pepper theirs and he saves every single shot no matter how good it is is totally pathetic and a complete joke!! It’s literally rage inducing to the point it’s not even fun anymore to play this game at all!! Maybe I don’t spend enough money so they dumb my team down a bunch?? I dunno, but it’s just not worth it to me to keep playing and getting this angry because of how unfair it is!! And the card sets are too big, too many cards, too complicated for the casual player, and there’s entirely too many doubles and triples of un tradable, crap cards!! Like why would I want 150 86 ovr players who’s cards I can’t cash in or trade away for something better!?! It’s just too much, And also, I’d like to be paired with people who are more on my level in ranked mode too, but nope, I make it to silver 3 and it’s like I stepped into the twilight zone, 99 ovr teams with players who skate 3 times as fast as mine and there’s absolutely ZERO chance I can compete so I usually quit because I’m not gonna watch them put 8 goals up on me while I can’t cross their blue line! I don’t understand why they can’t make a game that is fun and fair to play!!? I get there going to be flaws and there’s going to be things to work through but you’ve had how long now EA?? You’ve listened to the endless rants about what’s wrong with this game and what needs done and you do nothing to address any of it!!! Except add more micro transactions and more card sets we don’t need! Why don’t you try and patch an update that will actually address the concerns of, you know, the people who buy this game year after year and, for whatever reason, keep coming back, only to be disappointed again and again and again!! I just can’t do it anymore, so I’m hanging up my skates and I’ll go play something else. Thanks for ruining the greatest sport on earth and turning it in to a cash cow with HUT and World of Chel. Don’t even bother if you’re not willing to spend some dough to compete because that’s the only way you will be able to keep up or get anything cool in the game! Because you certainly can’t get awarded anything with gameplay that’s worth a hoot. I’m pretty disappointed and I know I’m not alone in my thinking here. Maybe things will change this year with the sale of the company but I have my enormous doubts that they will care about hockey all that much! But who knows I guess it can’t get any worse, right!?
